In today's podcast, we catch up with His Excellency Nigel Baker, the UK Ambassador to the Holy See.

It's a time for anniversaries - the Ambassador himself was appointed almost a year ago - and today we're discussing the 30th anniversary of Pope John Paul II's historic visit to England, Wales and Scotland. Significantly, the visit also saw the relationship between the UK and the Holy See upgraded to one of full diplomatic relations.

In this Catholic News podcast, we look forward to tomorrow's one-day Symposium in Rome celebrating the two historic anniversaries. It will be held at the Venerable English College - the bishops' seminary in Rome for training priests. The VEC itself has recently celebrated its 650th anniversary making it the UK's oldest institution overseas .
