Out of the City and into the Country

05/02/2014 5:45 pm

Archbishop in the countryside

Sometimes the Catholic Church can appear a little too urban in its focus - a church of the towns and cities.

Today's Catholic News podcast seeks to redress the balance as we speak to two of our priests involved in rural ministry.

We're joined in the studio by Fr Robert Miller of the Clifton Diocese and Canon Harry Doyle of the Diocese of Lancaster.

Both priests are integral to the Working Group on Rural Issues - part of the Bishops' Conference Department of Dialogue and Unity.

Today we talk about:

  • Rural parish ministry
  • Agriculture and farming
  • Flooding
  • Foot and Mouth Disease
  • The Working Group on Rural Issues' annual conference

Duration: 8m 39s
