Bishop John Arnold joins us for an extended podcast to discuss his recent visit to Africa.

Bishop John, soon to be Chair of the Church's Aid and Development agency CAFOD, traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda and Kenya from 16-29 July 2011.

He was accompanied by Maurice McPartlan, Special Representative for Church and Development to both the Bishops' Conference and CAFOD. The delegation visited CAFOD's Great Lakes team based in Congo and Kigali, Rwanda, to find out more about how the work supports the region's people.

Starting in parishes in Kinshasa, Bishop John shared the Gospel with Congolese Christians and met some of the country's poorest people.
