Our seasonal podcast series telling the Advent story using four paintings from the National Gallery’s world-famous collection was released in 2010.
Each Sunday in Advent we joined two culturally immersed priests who offered a thought-provoking insight into the works.
Father Christopher Whitehead, the Clifton Diocese's Director of Adult Education was joined in conversation by Dr James Hanvey SJ, Director of the Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics and Public Life and an expert in art and culture.
On the First Sunday of Advent Fathers Whitehead and Hanvey looked at Carlo Crivelli’s 1486 painting ‘The Annunciation with Saint Emidius’.
