Baroness Sheila Hollins

Baroness Sheila Hollins has been President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and President of the British Medical Association.

Her work, inspired by her faith, has focused on those with mental health issues and learning disabilities. Part of her focus is on the lives of young people suffering from stress and anxiety at rates that are higher than ever before.

The professional skill and personal qualities of Baroness Hollins have been recognised by Pope Francis in appointing her to the Vatican Commission for the Protection of Minors.

Sheila is able to speak sensitively to young people, and her presence at Flame II will, we hope, help young people who are themselves suffering with anxiety, or accompanying friends who are in need, as well as showing where faith can matter deeply in times of stress.
