Cardinal Supports Holy Land Christians

All eyes are on the Holy Land as Pope Francis prepares to make an historic pilgrimage from 24-26 May 2014. Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, has long held a passion for supporting the 'Living Stones' - the Christians of the region. On Thursday 14 May, he presented the ecumenical charity 'Friends of the Holy Land' (FHL) with a cheque for £85,000 to support projects helping Christians in the lands of Christ's birth and ministry. The money was raised through the generosity of the Catholic parishioners of the Archdioceses of Liverpool, Birmingham and Westminster. Here Cardinal Nichols speaks to Jim Quinn, Chair of the Friends of the Holy Land.
