East Anglia Diocese: Learning Together – Catholics and the Challenges of Bio Ethics

Dr Gavin Jarvis, Medical Research Scientist in the Department of Bio-Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, has worked with leading Catholic agencies on the science, ethics and moral dilemmas of modern medicine, and leads a day on the challenges that these present to Catholics.

North West Dioceses: Crossing the Threshold Resource Day: Ministry and Outreach to Non Churchgoing Catholics

The Most Rev Patrick Kelly, Archbishop of Liverpool, will host a free resource day to support ministry and outreach to non churchgoing Catholics at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Leyland, 2 February 2013. The day will run from 10am – 4pm, with tea and coffee served from 9.30am. The programme includes Mass, talks, workshops, sharing time, stalls and much more. The event is primarily being offered for people in the Liverpool, Salford and Lancaster dioceses, but attendees from further afield are very welcome.

Lancaster Diocese: ‘The Light is on for you’

We will continue our efforts made in Lent 2012, of making available the Sacrament of Reconciliation in all the churches of the Diocese at the same time on Wednesday evenings.

Again under the title ‘The Light is On for You!’ it will be advertised via local newspapers, websites and radio that the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available in all parish churches of the Diocese of Lancaster from 7pm to 8pm on:

Clifton Diocese: Appear in the Light

These evenings give young people the chance to stop and reflect on the true meaning of Advent and to prepare fully to celebrate the birth of our Lord at Christmas.

Thursday 6 December, St Georges Warminster Thursday 13 December, St Joseph’s Portishead Thursday 20 December, St Gregory’s Cheltenham 7pm ending with refreshments at 8.30pm

Each evening begins at 7.00pm and will finish with refreshments at 8.30pm. All are welcome.
