The Diocese of Arundel and Brighton will celebrate its Golden Jubilee in 2015 - marking the achievements of fifty years of faithful presence and practice by the clergy and people of the Catholic Church in the counties of Sussex and those parts of Surrey outside the Greater London Boroughs.

The diocese is aligning its Year of Faith celebrations with its own Golden Jubilee three years later. The two events have a shared inspiration. Pope Benedict XVI called for the Year of Faith to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council and Arundel and Brighton has planned a four-year project in which it will look at the four most important documents to emerge from Vatican II.

Bishop Kieran Conry, who's also the Chair of the Bishops' Conference Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis, wrote a Pastoral Letter to mark the start of the Year of Faith.
