Home Mission Sunday will be celebrated this year on Sunday 16 September 2012.
The theme: Confident in Faith
“Everyone is invited to rediscover and be more confident in their faith. This is what St. Peter demonstrates so powerfully in the Gospel for Home Mission Sunday, proclaiming ‘You are the Christ’ (Mark 8: 27 – 35). The more confidence we have in Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Saviour, the more ready and equipped we are to share the treasure of our Catholic Faith.”
Bishop Kieran Conry
Chair of the Bishops’ Department for Evangelisation and Catechesis

President of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales
Archbishop Vincent Nichols on being confidently Catholic:
"Being confidently Catholic means having confidence in the truth of faith, a truth which is held before us as a great gift of God, a truth which we never possess of ourselves but rather seek simply to be possessed by it."
